Five decades…
…of successful schooling and German-American friendship with a special education concept, a strong, thriving school community and plenty of energy for the future – these are reasons to celebrate with amazing events!
Events
The celebration kicked off April 17 with a sold-out Benefit Concert at the school for at least 400 guests, featuring accomplished vocalist Jocelyn B.Smith and friends including the JFKS Jazz Ensemble.
Also in April, the lecture series started with leading partners in the fields of music, education and politics.
Two further successful events by and with students and teachers were the Fine Arts Show and the John F. Kennedy Week that took place in May.
The festivities reached their climax over the October 1-3 weekend beginning with the Official Ceremony, a big Fun Day and closing with an Alumni Dance for former students.
The JFKS Music Department presented Carl Orff`s Carmina Burana with JFKS choirs, musicians, alumni and volunteer guest talent. The years celebrations will come to a close with the JFKS Ball in spring of 2011.
