The John F. Kennedy School celebrates its 50th Anniversary!
Five decades…
…of successful schooling and German-American friendship with a special education concept, a strong, thriving school community and plenty of energy for the future – these are reasons to celebrate in the months to come.
Events
Kick-off was a Benefit Concert with Jocelyn B. Smith and Band, the proceeds of which will support the various anniversary events. In October 2010 the festivities will reach their climax with an Official Ceremony and a big Fun Day, which will draw to a close with an Alumni Dance for former students.
Projects by and with students will include a Fine Arts Show, the John F. Kennedy Week, and a concert performance of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. The John F. Kennedy School, in cooperation with leading partners, is initiating lectures and panel discussions in the fields of music, education, and politics. The year’s celebrations will come to a close with the JFKS Ball in the spring of 2011.
